- Keep quantities, units, servings and preparation instructions consistent across the documents.
Connect each statement to a source
An evidence map helps reviewers see what supports each nutritional statement and how the evidence applies to this entry.
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Statement | The nutritional purpose or factual statement being supported. |
| Source | Author, title, date and a DOI or stable reference where available. |
| Studied material | The ingredient or formulation used and how it compares with this product. |
| Amount and population | Dose or serving, duration where relevant and the people studied. |
| Findings | The relevant results, with their context. |
| Applicability and limits | Differences, uncertainty and findings that qualify or contradict the statement. |
Quality and safety records
Include existing records relevant to the identity, composition, stability, quality and safety of the submitted product or ingredient.
- Identify the issuing organisation, date and scope of each report.
- State which sample, batch or specification the report concerns.
- Explain relevant recalls, restrictions, known concerns and changes.

Provide only material you have the right to share. A citation and lawful access route can be supplied instead of an unauthorised copy of a research paper. Do not submit patient records, identifiable child data, executable files or unrelated personal information.
Private material and public information
The application separates the evidence used for assessment from the information shown in an award record.
You review the proposed public identity fields in the application. The recognition statement is settled after assessment. Submitted files are not automatically published.
| Kept within the application | Shown in a published award record |
|---|---|
| Formulation details and supporting evidence files | Awarded product or ingredient name, responsible organisation and reference. |
| Private reviewer analysis and correspondence | Version, market, scope, decision date and the approved reason for recognition. |
| Contact and account information | Current award or mark-use status and any published correction. |
Final document check
Before submitting, check identity and version, label panels, quantities and units, evidence references, quality records and your authority to provide them. Keep the original source records available for clarification.
