Nutrition Excellence Awards

Using the award mark

Use the mark only for the product or ingredient, version, market and scope named in your award record. The permission runs for 24 calendar months from the award decision, unless suspended or withdrawn earlier.

Keep the award with the assessed product

Place the mark where readers can identify the awarded product. A brand page or catalogue must make clear which individual product holds the award.

UseRequirement
Product page or brochureName the assessed product and link to its award record where practicable.
Award announcementState the award year and identify the product or ingredient.
Company websiteKeep the mark beside the awarded product; do not imply a company-wide award.
Packaging or a physical labelCheck the market-specific rules and any conditions recorded for that award.

Use the supplied artwork

Use the original digital files. Keep the badge, lettering, colours, proportions and award year intact. Do not redraw it, add claims inside it or combine it with another certification symbol.

Check packaging before production

Show the proposed placement, surrounding text, product version and intended market when requesting a use check. A use check confirms compliance with award permission; the applicant remains responsible for local packaging and advertising requirements.

Ingredients and specialist nutrition

An ingredient award must not be presented as an award for a finished product. For infant nutrition, medical nutrition and other specialist products, use only the publicity permitted in the recorded decision and applicable market.

Ingredient communication

Name the ingredient and assessed application. Do not extend the award to customer products.

Read ingredient criteria

Make the mark legible

Allow clear space around the full badge. Use a plain background with sufficient contrast and reproduce the artwork at a size at which its wording can be read. Check an actual-size proof before printing.

  • Preserve the original aspect ratio.
  • Keep other text and graphics outside the badge.
  • Do not crop, recolour, stretch or animate individual elements.
  • Add a nearby link or reference to the award record where the format allows.

Check the term and report changes

The end date is shown in the register and your account. Stop new use when permission expires, is suspended or is withdrawn. Report material product changes before applying the mark to the revised version. Historical announcements must remain clearly dated and must not suggest current permission.

Request a use check

Sign in, open your award and choose “Check proposed mark use”. Include the artwork reference, version, market and surrounding statement. The reply records the permitted use or the changes required.
