Nutrition Excellence Awards

Privacy notice

This notice explains how the European Nutrition Society handles information submitted through Nutrition Excellence Awards.

Who is responsible

European Nutrition Society, Swiss UID CHE-236.572.275, is responsible for information collected for this awards programme. Send privacy enquiries through the contact form and choose “Privacy or accessibility”. Include only the information needed to identify your request.

Information we use and why

We use account, application and service information to administer entries, assess evidence, issue decisions, publish awards and respond to requests.

Provide only information relevant to the application. Do not submit patient identifiers or unrelated sensitive personal information. Product evidence may be commercially confidential even where it contains no personal data.

Access and service providers

Application documents are restricted to authorised account members and people assigned to administer or review the entry. Reviewers receive access only after the relevant interest declaration is cleared.

Cloudflare provides website hosting, database and document storage infrastructure. Service providers process information as needed to deliver the service. Where an optional order is accepted, the details necessary for production and delivery may be shared with the identified supplier.

Information may be processed in countries other than the applicant’s country. Applicable contractual and legal safeguards are considered when appointing providers. We do not sell application evidence or disclose it for unrelated advertising.

What appears in the register

An award record contains the approved product or ingredient identity, organisation, version, market, scope, reference, decision, criteria version, public explanation and mark-use status. It does not publish the private dossier or confidential reviewer comments.

A register record remains available as a history of the award when mark-use permission expires, is suspended or is withdrawn. Public information can be copied by third parties and indexed by search engines. Submit a factual, publication-ready description in the designated application section.

Retention and your requests

We retain information for as long as necessary to administer the entry, maintain a reliable award history, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Account, evidence, financial and public record information may have different retention needs.

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, or request its deletion or restriction where applicable. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting an account does not automatically erase an award record or information needed for a legitimate dispute or legal obligation. We explain any relevant limit when responding.

Security and notice changes

The service uses encrypted connections, restricted document access, sign-in controls and audit records. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Report an access or disclosure concern promptly without reproducing the exposed material in the contact form.

Material changes to the use of information will be reflected in this notice. This notice applies from its publication with rules version NEA-2026.1.
